Sam is Two!
Time flies when you are having fun.
Sam turned two years old this past Wednesday. Photos would have been up sooner, but the service I use to update this site has been on the fritz for me.
Anyways... we kept the occasion mellow, because Sam is far from mellow now. He's kind of got that "terrible two" thing going on. He's also incredibly fast and slippery. The more excitement in the air, the more excitable he gets. If the excitement stops, we get a melt down. We figured he doesn't deserve a meltdown on his special day.
That all said, Sam is having a few small birthday gatherings which piggyback other family events. At this point, he is on birthday cake number 2, with two more to go.
Here's how Sam's day went.

A present right away
a new Mickey Mouse stuffed animal and book to share with mom
In the afternoon we had a small picnic and cake. Sam blew out the candle about 6 times.
we all clapped each time he did it

and not as messy at two!
we came inside and Sam got his own rocking chair with ottoman
he used it before bed
and next day when he watched his programs...
