Sam's First Christmas
Well, it sure has been awhile since we gave an update. Happy Holidays ... here's how Sam's first Christmas panned out.
It started with a trip to the mall in Roseville to meet Santa.
Before we left for Southern Wisconsin, Sam got his first gift from John, a Bumbo Baby Seat. It's a really great infant chair. Which you will find scattered throughout the following photos.
First stop for gift exchange was at Jim & Lee's house. Sam slept through most of the gift opening ... so he didn't get too many pictures taken of him. Only this one where I look like a deer caught in headlights.

Next stop was Christmas Eve at Aunt Teresa and Uncle Russ's house. In the photo below, Sam demonstrates "kisses." When you look him in the eye and tell him, "gimme kisses Sam" and land smooches on his cheek, he'll open his mouth and sometimes licks you on your cheek.
Here's Sam being smothered by cousin's Layla and Annabelle
He then went on to show cousin Layla and cousin Russ that he knows how to suck his thumb.

CHRISTMAS MORNING! Santa came and Sam ripped into his present (with help from mom).

We got Sam bundled up and took him to Grandma Alice and Grandpa Roger's house where Santa left him a few more things in a stocking over there.

Then it was off to Grandma Sandy's house for brunch and more gifts. Sam being one of the gifts.

After Grandma Sandy's house we headed out for Jaime's family Christmas. With so many big days earlier in the week, Sam simply passed out for darn near everything. So, there aren't any photos to share. That's excuse number 1. Excuse number 2 is with a ton of family around, Sam got passed over and over again to everyone. Both Jaime and I took advantage of this time and mingled around the family.
Though, Sam did wake up for a couple snaps with his cousin Jason and his new fiancee, Sara, who were up from Florida

And that was Christmas!
The following photos are from the day after Christmas. I was tending to Sam's cradle cap with some moisturizer ... and sculpted him (what I think is) a rather nice faux hawk.
